I have now seen the power of a paladin using a smite against an undead. It was terrifyingly awesome. Each member of our group has shown immense strength in various areas. I am still in awe of all of them. I’ve been able to hold my own in some circumstances but I’ll admit that I wasn’t much help here recently.
First off, well what SHOULD have been first off. We are all safe. We are in a very strange library filled with puzzles and traps. I wont bore you with the details but suffice it to say I have learned that if you can’t think your way through a puzzle you can sometimes punch your way through it. I know. I know it doesn’t sound right at all, and yet here we are.
As I mentioned above we did have a bit of an issue with a wraith. He just sort of came out of a statue that was stabbed by another statue (I think) and then that statue started bleeding, (the one that was stabbed.) And then a wraith exited the “wound.” Thank Eos that Clio was near me. She blocked an attack meant for me by quite a bit. She couldn’t cover it all, so I am very sore where it struck but I’m okay I promise. Learning more and more about healing has truly been invaluable. I can bind my own wounds far better than I had before. It is also thanks to all my comrades (will I ever be able to repay their assistance every time I get into trouble???) that I am okay. Arrows started flying, bolts of divine energy errupted, psychic shocks staved the damage that could have been dealt. And finally a smite finished the thing. As I said, and now include all the others in it, terrifyingly awesome.
So if anyone does intercede this letter, let me tell you this loud and clear. We, the Dragonlords, are a mighty force to be reckoned with. The fury and abilities that we bring to a fight will only grow stronger. While you hide in the darkness and amidst the storms, we shine light and clear the skies. So be warned.
I really have nothing else to say. We are about to go down a staircase to yet another set of puzzles and traps I’m sure. I just hope that as we descend each floor we gain more than we lose.
