Dear River, Actaeon won the long jump. It wasn’t much of a competition really. No one was really close to his jumping abilities that were enhanced by Clio’s magical abilities. But then it was leaping spires. This was a lot of fun. Rendu, Actaeon, Torag, and I competed along with Kano, Hatria, and others… We had to jump around on different rocks trying to collect pennants and return them to a certain rock. Unfortunately, I jumped on top of an earth elemental. That was scary but Kano competed super well. I almost won but I missed the last jump with my four ...

River/Future Shadow, Briar gave me this journal to try to help me determine what is reality. When Briar first gave me this journal, I was already a little offended because she was calling me an animal. Well, yes, I was offended, but I was also confused. Am I just an animal? I am a tabaxi which resembles a much larger cat which is an animal. I never thought of myself as an animal, but maybe I am? Then I was offended because Briar gave me this journal because she probably thinks I am crazy and I need help… Maybe I do? ...

Dear us, River, I have to admit, Necropolis is worse than the rumors that surround this place. Would you believe that in order to enter this graveyard you have to give a lich a dragonlord coin? Well that is the truth… I think. However, this place was very depressing. It’s the burial grounds of the original order of the dragonlords. We also found some of Actaeon’s past brothers in arms. I have lost brothers in arms while in the army so I can understand some of the pain that Actaeon suffered as he had to visit this dreadful place.  However, we found ...

Dear us,  I have to admit that this trip back into Xander’s tomb went a little bit smoother. I am amazed with some of my comrades’ abilities. These are very extraordinary people. I have seen a lot of soldiers and I have fought a lot of foes, but my current friends are quite amazing and possess some spectacular abilities. With that said, I do think we could work on some of our IQ when making important decisions. That will become more clear as I explain today’s events. This time around, when Torag’s uncle appeared I was able to mark him. You know ...

Dear us, As I explained earlier, our group is kind of a hot mess. We exited Xander’s tomb and Briar was upset about something. She was asking if we died, would we like her to help us return to life. That was a difficult question because I would want to come back to life only if you and Rare were still out there and I am still unsure if you are. Sorry again, but I don’t know anymore, but I am searching, my love. I am hoping… But I think Briar was mostly upset because Torag and Actaeon act so carelessly, ...

Dear us, River, I messed up. I don’t think I should be here. At this point I feel like I am doing more harm than good. It started when three dragons and their dragonriders came to us. That’s right, these are dragons… copper dragons. When they landed, I could tell by the way they were dressed that these dragonriders were captains under King Acastus’s command. Captain Tarkon gave us a note from King Acastus. He wanted us to come to Ellandyr to help them with the current hurricane crisis. Captain Tarkon also mentioned that the Ellandyr courts have not been able ...

Dear us,  You’re right, apologizing to Torag helped me feel better. I was glad that he was quick to forgive me for attacking him the way I did. He explained that due to the heat of the battle, he was in a rage and attacked. I guess you could say he blacked out and took action without thinking. I could understand that but I explained to Torag and the rest of the group that I have the final decisions for the animals that are caught in my snare. Everyone agreed to this and Torag mentioned he would do his best. I ...

Dear us, After talking with the Queen, I was able to speak with Mikhaila again. I was wondering if Mikhaila and the other exiled Amazonians and I had a common cause and maybe we could work together to restore their home. However, Mikhaila likes where she is at and won’t intercede unless new information is uncovered. I respect that. I wouldn’t want to bring chaos to her people but I would imagine that she would like to restore the Amazons to what they once were. I know I need to get our sword back but I don’t want to hurt them ...

Dear us, What a day, River… What a day. For the most part it was a really good day. In fact, it was a really fun day. However, I am also very terrified… I will explain, but first I must talk about our mishap on our way to the summit. While traveling to the summit for the qualifications, we found a man, Eronus, praying in the middle of the street to Kiora, asking for a hero. Leef asked if we could help. Eronus explained that he gambled away a good sum of his girlfriend’s money. She was obviously unhappy and broke ...

Dear us, I hated and loved this extremely long day. So much has happened that included a large range of emotions such as confusion, excitement, joy, grief, boredom, and despair. After talking with Candle, I thought my comrades and I should celebrate tonight. We had a lot of success today that included defeating Delica and gaining passage to the games with the help of our mystic coaches. I went back to the fisher’s market and bought five bottles of their top-shelf wine, including: Ellandyr Glowfire, Mintcherries Wine, Heart of Wine, and Ellandyr Nectar. I also bought so much wine to make ...

Dear ?, How do I start this entry? I guess I will just say that I received my answer/confirmation and all I want to do now is restart and focus all of my energy on helping my comrades and fulfill our objectives as the second order of dragonlords. I know my friends are real and I know that the evil we are fighting is real. I need to leave the unknown in the past and start anew and focus on what I know is real. There was resistance from my friends on my new perspective but I hope that they can ...

Dear River, I am so, so sorry. I have been an ignorant fool. I have failed you and Rare in every possible way and you both deserve so much more. Going forward, “if” will never come out of my mouth and I know who I am. I am Hunter’s Shadow of the Starfall Clan. I was raised by my father, Mountain’s Bolder, and my mother, Star In The Morning. I grew up on the family farm and I had two younger brothers, Quick Quill and Defiant Wave. When I came of age, I left my family to join the Ellandyr army. ...

Dear River, I learned something new today. Dia is actually the Goddess Palladia. We have been traveling with one of the Five Immortals this whole time. Let the record show that I knew that she was hiding something from us and couldn’t be trusted. Ok, that was a lie. I did know that there was more to Dia but that was not a good reason to not trust her. She has been good to us and I should apologize for my distrust. I didn’t learn this until our team meeting. It came up nonchalantly as we were discussing priorities and objectives ...

Dear River, I liked today. We learned a lot from todays events, but it was knowledge that made us, especially Briar, uneasy. However, I feel like my group of friends and i are becoming more than just a group of soldiers, but it is starting to feel like more of a family. After packing up in the morning, Keledone came and dropped off some gifts from Azorius. Torag and Briar got their shields, and Actaeon got a war axe. I will be honest, I was very disappointed that my bow hasn’t arrived but then Keledone mentioned that it’ll be back in two ...

Dear River, It took a few days to arrive at the Sour Vintage, and luckily nothing eventful occurred since saving Pholon from the raptors. It was nice to be trekking in the wild without any conflicts within and outside of our party. We were able to travel in peace while enjoying each others’ presence. I have to admit that I feel like a burden has been lifted since leaving Ellandyr. Since leaving, I truly realize how much I hate Ellandyr now, and I feel bad for my friends. While in Ellandyr, I was a mess and they had to manage my ...

Dear River, This was a perilous journey. When we reached the Dead Falls, we asked Pholon to stay back with Corinna and Triple A as we continued forward. As we were traveling deeper into the Dead Falls, the walls of the cliff were closing upon us and threatened to squish us. I didn’t notice until Leef was pushing me from behind. Once I realized what was occurring I grabbed Leef and put him on my back and ran as fast I could out of there. Luckily, all of us escaped the trap unharmed. We then traveled through a tunnel that led ...

Dear River, As a team, we have two objectives that we want to accomplish before the great games begin: save the minotaurs from the minotaur slave market and save the children that are hidden within the temple of Khar’shan. Since the sacrifice of the minotaurs occurs at the beginning of the games, this was our highest priority. We had received a note while we were gone about meeting the Lady of Coins on the Harp Bridge at night, however, during today’s morning breakfast we received another note that said that we can meet her at the Harp Bridge at day or night. ...

Dear River, After our short rest, we took off to meet with Torag’s sister, Kalista, at the Siren’s Roost. Torag has a lot of siblings, and they all have different mothers. I don’t know how I would feel meeting unknown siblings over and over. He seems like he takes it well. He must have already accepted that his father has had a lot of lovers over the years. You and I both grew up with our siblings, and all of us had the same parents. Additionally, we all knew each of our siblings well. It would be weird to wonder if ...

Dear River, After rescuing the children from the temple of Khar’shan, there were about five days until the great games and we were advised by Queen Aminatou to relax and recover. She wants us to save all of our strength for the great games and pursuing other objectives might not be wise. We took her advice. The opening ceremonies begin tomorrow and we tried to relax. It was weird to have so much down time. Even during my time in the military I never had five days to be home with you and Rare. It’s easier when I am engaged in tasks ...

Dear River, What an exciting day! All good stuff! It all started with the dinosaur race. There were two races: the regular dinosaur race and the unchained race. The unchained race is the race where the dinosaurs are allowed to attack each other while racing. Clio registered for the normal race with a dragon that she apparently won from a bar…. And Briar was nowhere to be found. Usually I am known to be able to read in between the lines but today I was a fool. Clio didn’t win a dinosaur from a bar. This dinosaur that Clio will be ...

Dear River,  Well, today was the first day of the great games. In the morning we had archery. None of my friends qualified for this one so I was the only one from the oracle’s chosen competing this morning. There were four other competitors: Hatria, Kano, Egan, and Jorge. Lumi was there as my mystic coach. She is an interesting character. She’s like one of those senile crazy old ladies but at the same time are very wise and kind. Yeah, that’s her. She would refer to me as “dear” and “sweetheart” which was weird. I got a little annoyed with ...
